CORDS in the media: View a short documentary about CORDS originally broadcast in Sierra Leone

After an initial meeting between CORDS’ Executive Director, Nigel Lighfoot, with the Sierra Leone Public Broadcasting network, journalist Hawa Barrie was inspired to further document the human impact of ebola through a short documentary with images and interviews from the field. This documentary was a precursor to CORDS’ Intensified Preparedness Programme workshop in Conakry, Guinea which brought together individuals from decision making, field epidemiology, journalism and communications and community health worker levels from Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Senegal and Togo as a way to share best practices and identify feasible solutions to the epidemic.
