Enhancing African-led capacity for Disease Surveillance, Arusha 14-15 December
We are working with our South African and East African Networks, SACIDS and EAIDSNet, to bring together stakeholders and funders from across the globe in Tanzania on the 14th-15th December.
The event will focus on how to develop infectious surveillance systems to help change how we manage risk around outbreaks. There will be an opportunity to look at the life cycle of an epidemic and identify collaborative actions that lead to earlier detection, faster response, better co-ordination and a smarter legacy for risk management.
Professor Nigel Lightfoot, CBE, Executive Director of CORDS said:“Our mission is to build capacity in countries to detect widespread outbreaks of infectious disease in communities earlier and respond faster.”
